A new two-manual, twenty-seven-rank pipe organ has been installed in San Francisco Solano Church by Schantz Organ Builders (1873) of Orrville, Ohio. (Go to www.schantzorgan.com to see more pictures of San Francisco Solano Parish's pipe organ.) The new Schantz pipe organ is an eclectic instrument in the American Classic style. Fifty-four pipes of flamed copper comprise the facade pipes, providing aesthetic and architectural integration with the church building’s interior design. The console is built of red oak, matching the wood finish used throughout the church. The interior sections of the console are made of rosewood. The instrument, which uses electro-pneumatic action and electro-pneumatic wind chests, has twenty stops.
The Great Division is comprised of 11 ranks: Open Diapason, Spitzflöte, Octave, Koppelflöte, Gemshorn, IV Mixture, Liturgical Trumpet, and Clarinet.
The Swell Division is comprised of 13 ranks: Chimney Flute, Viola, Viola Celeste, Principal, Open Flute, Nazard, Octavin, Tierce, III Plein Jeu, Bassoon, and Trumpet.
The Pedal Division is comprised of 3 ranks: Principal, Subbass, and Trombone.
