Dear Friends:
Welcome to San Francisco Solano Parish’s Website!
Throughout our lives, we discover holy places where our seeking leads to finding, where our spiritual leadings find refreshment, where we love God and our neighbor, where we encounter Christ, where our faith is enlivened, and where our deepest identity is confirmed. I experience San Francisco Solano Parish as one such place.
We seek to proclaim the Word of God faithfully. We seek to celebrate our communal prayer and worship—in particular the Eucharist—reverentially and joyfully. We seek to enflesh our love for Christ in works of charity, in service to the poor and needy. We seek to demonstrate Christian hospitality at all times.
San Francisco Solano Parish was established on 3 July 1989. We are now a parish of 4,200 families. I invite you to navigate the site to learn about parish life at San Francisco Solano. If you are new to Rancho Santa Margarita or the surrounding area and are looking to become a member of a parish community, I invite you to celebrate the Eucharist with us.
At San Francisco Solano Parish, a large number of our parishioners engage in some aspect of pastoral ministry, such as religious education, youth ministry, various liturgical ministries, outreach to the poor and needy, the SFS Food Bank, bereavement ministry, the RCIA, and care of the sick and elderly. San Francisco Solano Parish demonstrates that gifts are blessed when they enhance the good of others, when we place our gifts at the service of one another. There are innumerable ways to become an active member and help proclaim the Gospel.
Serra Catholic School, a multi-parish school, has an enrollment of over 1,000 students, Pre-K through Junior High. Santa Margarita Catholic High School, a “Blue Ribbon” co-educational diocesan high school with 1,650 students, is our next-door neighbor.
Again, welcome to this “window” into our community of faith! Thank you for the visit. If you have any questions, please call the appropriate telephone number provided.
Sincerely in Christ,

Reverend Craig M. Butters
Pastor
