Anointing of the Sick

The Catholic Church teaches that the Anointing of the Sick is one of the seven sacraments of the New Testament: “Is there anyone sick among you? Let him send for the presbyters of the Church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. The pray of faith will save the sick person, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed any sins, he will be forgiven them” (James 5: 14-15).

The Anointing of the Sick may be arranged through the Parish Office. A priest will visit the sick person who is homebound or hospitalized for the Anointing of the Sick.
